What is A.A.?
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

What is Intergroup?
An Intergroup or central office is an A.A. service office that involves partnership among groups in a community—just as A.A. groups themselves are partnerships of individuals. A central office is established to carry out certain functions common to all the groups—functions which are best handled by a centralized office—and it is usually maintained, supervised, and supported by these groups in their general interest. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.

The 66th Florida AA Convention
Hello Convention Goers,
We are excited to host the 66th Florida State Convention in Tampa Bay at the world renowned Saddlebrook Resort and Spa with its natural beauty.
Get ready to relax and enjoy an extended weekend; whether enjoying the 500,000 gallon super pool, lounging by the adult pool, strolling the natural trail in the bird sanctuary, taking a few swings on one of the two Arnold Palmer golf courses, or heading to the spa for a little TLC. You will find everything you need right at this resort.
While attending the 66th convention, you will be entertained by the locals and their many different forms of entertainment; including our very own Jimmy S with the annual Saturday “A.A. Service Manual – The Musical.” There will be something for everyone, young and the older, youthful attendees.
Our sports committee has arranged for a few awesome activities, you can golf on one of the two most picturesque golf course in Florida to take home the coveted Coffee Pot Trophy, play pickle ball, or take an escorted motor cycle ride through the hills of Zephyrhills.
The banquet meals will impress even the most finicky of eaters; you will have a choice of chicken, steak, fish, or vegan entrees for both Friday and Saturday night banquets. Followed by ice cream social events with a complete ice cream sundae bar.
Are you looking for a service opportunity?
Boy, do we have an opportunity for you! Please attend our planning meetings and join one of our many committees: from sporting activities, entertainment, registration, greeting to marathon meetings. These are just a few of the areas where we need you!
We look forward to hosting the 66th Florida State Convention in beautiful Tampa, Florida.
