05/18/2020 Updates! Online Meetings, Meeting & Events; Moves, Cancellations,  & other related changes for Districts 8, 19, 20, 21, + 32

Many Meetings & Venues are opening back up as the Government  moves to phase 2 of Social distancing  guidelines. A lot of these meeting changes come from word of month. If you have any new information please contact webdesigner: hughpatricktech@gmail.com

The Intergroup Representative Meeting (IGR) will be meeting again at 6:30PM this Thursday 05/21/2020 at Central Baptist Church 142 Fairview ave. Daytona Beach, Florida. Please Bring a mask!

Easy Does It, Rebos, Victor E, & Yana Clubs Now Open!

Beacause of many Important recommendations from Local Goverments, The CDC, and AA’s GSO office, many Area 14 groups have voted to suspend their meetings or have been required to move them to another location! Also many Districts 8, 19, 20, 21, + 32  Events have been Cancled or suspended.  As a service to Our Area Groups & Districts, Volusia County Intergroup will do our best to maintain an updated list On This Page to assist those who are seeking Meetings or Events and wish to avoid attempting to attend one that has been changed. The Meeting App & our Meetings Schedule Page,   WILL NOT  reflect these temporary changes as of now!!!!  Please call or email us  to help update any known changes.

~Thank you

AA Online Zoom Meetings Suggestions!

  • The numbers at end of the link = the meeting ID number.
  • Join the meeting early to make sure connections are good.
  • Some groups don't want their passwords online - contact a group member to get a password.
  • Zoom has a “Raise Hand” feature to for sharing, or  private chat to the leader to and ask to share.
  • Concerned about anonymity? You can “Rename” by clicking on the ellipses (…) by your personal image/icon.
  • Mute yourself on your phone or PC when not speaking. Too many people speaking at once adds lag time and confusion.
  • You can add a virtual background - go to the preferences section under the zoom.us menu and select “Virtual Backgrounds”
  • A great way to be of service during this time is to help the members in our community who may not be that tech savvy and might be intimidated by this transition to online meetings. Have one-on-one chats with them through Zoom and show them how to do all of the items above. This will help them feel confident with the tools and ensure they are not isolated in their inability to physically get to a meeting.

The AAGrapevine and La Viña Are Here To Help

Due to the current changing health situation, many AA meetings across the U.S. and Canada are finding it safer to close. To help members during this time, we are giving everyone free access to all of our 2020 Grapevine and La Viña issues. (The audio to Grapevine’s stories will be available as well, so people can listen to the stories if they like.) Please share with your fellows. We have also included a link to our Youtube channel with some original audio stories as well as other important information. Click The Link Below.
